Our History

Milestones

Our passion for art dates back to 1986, with the establishment of an art trading business and a family collection, including works by Andy Warhol, Gerhard Richter, and Pablo Picasso. Since 2018, we continue to expand our art ventures under Morgen & Stern GmbH.

Brand Heritage

Until the 1930s, our German ancestors bore the name Morgenstern, which later evolved. Today, we honor their legacy through our company name, Morgen & Stern—symbolizing continuity, collaboration, and diversity, embodying the values that guide us.

How We Work

Structure fuels Instinct

We combine decades of art market experience with deep insight and modern technology. This allows us to deliver structured, data-driven, and objective guidance—tailored, discreet, and aligned with the goals of collectors, advisors, and investors who approach art strategically.

Trust through Independence

Over the years, we have developed tools, systems, and a robust legal framework to ensure competitive prices, fair fees, and transparent terms for buyer and seller equally. Our smart use of technology lets us focus on what matters most: building personal, trusted relationships.

Inventory &Artists

Available Inventory

Our inventory typically ranges from $500M to $1BN, spanning Old Masters to contemporary icons. We specialize in artworks valued at $1M+ and currently offer works by Basquiat, Caravaggio, Lichtenstein, Monet, Picasso, and Richter, among others.

Our Advantage

As collectors ourselves, we understand the importance of every transaction—preserving both value and privacy. We offer exclusive, discreet services that empower distinguished collectors to navigate the art market with security, confidence, and insider expertise.
